Counseling Department (Grades 3 - 5)
Instructor: Annette Fiddler
WELCOME TO MRS. FIDDLER'S COUNSELING PAGE
Thanks for checking out my guidance page.  I work with students in grades 3 through 5
and help them have a successful experience in school.

The guidance program consists of individual and group counseling, classroom lessons,
conferences with parents, and consulting with teachers.

Many things can interfere with student learning, such as separation and divorce, and
blended families.  Other issues may include illness, death, moving, deployment,
conflict with other students, bullying, and lack of motivation.  A counselor can help
with all of these concerns and and more.

Another crucial school issue is the prevention of bullying.  During my classroom lessons, I emphasize that students are responsible for reporting any bullying they see.  Students have the right to come to school without fear, and we discuss how they can insure that our school remains bully free.  I urge parents to report any situation where bullying is suspected.

In addition, I welcome calls from parents for any reason.  Please keep us informed of any major changes that may impact on the family so that we can be a support for your child.

Safety Patrol
This year our Safety Patrol is on duty helping students to use their very best behavior in Rocky Run hallways.  Selected by their teachers, these students are volunteers working to keep our halls safe for everyone.

These students take their responsibility seriously.  They are trained and held to high standards themselves.  Safety Patrol memebers  meet at least once a month to discuss schedules, concerns, and any possible changes needed.

Please greet our Safety Patrol members when you see them and thank them for doing a great job for Rocky Run!
